Thursday dinner
When you think of it, most of our strongest relationships in life are built and strengthened around a table while eating.
At every party, most people hang out in the kitchen! Every Thursday before we worship together, THE LIFE Church eats together; and we eat well. If you come to THE LIFE at anytime on a Thursday there is an aroma wafting throughout the entire building, FOOD. Maria (the church Office Manager) begins cooking for over 75 people very early. She is quite the chef, and what intrigues most people is that she rarely duplicates a meal. The food is truly home-cooked by Maria’s loving hands.
In the summertime we enjoy a barbeque on our spacious four-acre grounds while the children play kickball or other games before worship. A great delight is picking fresh vegetables from our large garden and cooking up our new harvests each week. Most people, after coming the first time, ask the same question: “You do this every week?” Yup! “Dinner is free?” Yup! Well, there is a basket for you to drop a donation for the food–only if you want to.
